But what is the right age for a relationship?

I would say a minimum age of 18 because I believe that kids should be allowed to be kids without being pressured into relationships they don't really want to be in just to meet the expectations of society. Having said this, I have encountered parents with AS who are under the age of 16.

Contrary to popular belief, relationships and not drugs is the largest single issue affecting the 12 to 16 age group.

Are you implying that anyone who desires a relationship is under the influence of societal pressures?

Not at all. Relationships should come naturally at the time when both individuals want them. Sadly, there is too much societal pressure for people to enter into relationships at a time before they are ready for them or desire to have them.

On a related note, are single-sex schools better for Aspie girls, or not? See this question I posted at MyDaughter.co.uk.

Brighton & Hove High School head on single-sex education. Well she would say that...
