    Hello Aneez,

There were a great number of 3D Construction Kit Users.

I have been gathering a huge amount of 3DCK material for the User Group and the homebrew games.

Did you keep any of your own 3DCK creations? Perhaps they too can be preserved?

I saved all my 3D games onto 3 inch disks and they are stored away somewhere. It might take some time to find all of them. What is the best way to transfer them to a PC?

        Hello Aneez,
I don't know how to salvage the files from 3 inch disks. But I had a twenty year old cassette containing my own 3DCK created C64 game, and I posted a thread at the friendly site of Lemon64 asking if anyone has the knowhow on how to salvage the data. Wouldn't you know it, someone one replied who offered to do it for me, and what's more, he lived only a few miles away!

In these days of retro, there is a big push for preserving old projects before they are lost in time forever. So I would advise you to find an Amstrad enthusiasts site, and post a thread there explaining your desire to preserve your disk data.

It would be great to have your projects preserved and available for all to play under emulation.

It appears to be the start of an interesting website. I shall upload my games when I find them.

                Hello again Aneez,

Just to let you know, the site 3dconstructionlkit.co.uk now has a homebrew Amstrad 3DCK game, called "The Bomb Room". It's a great game.

I hope your own projects can be preserved too, so that they are not lost forever and can be played by all. Whatever state of completion your projects were in, I'm sure lots of people would love to see them.

I haven't had the chance to dig out my projects yet. Does anybody know where sells rubber belts for the 3 inch disk drives used in the Amstrad CPC6128? A hi-fi shop nearby sells drive belts for all sorts of bygone stereos but they can't find one that fits.
